RULES & CONDITIONS:  Prize Fund €1500
Entries are confined to one  old Colts / Geldings registered in the I.H.R. with the breedcode ISH or ID with the Dam documented on the passport,  and must be sired by a stallion that is classified as approved, ‘Supplementary Approved’ or Preliminary Approved’ in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook, or a  stallion that is classified as ‘class 1’ / R.I.D. in the Irish Draught Horse Studbook. The class is also open to the progeny of Weatherbys Thoroughbred Stallions that are not classified in the I.H.R.
1 Two Yearlings from selected shows may qualify for the final if the judges and the  ISA agree the standard is high enough.
2 Exhibitors to both the qualifier and the final must have the yearlings passport ready for inspection prior to entry to the judging ring. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate disqualification.
3 Animals qualified for final are not eligible to enter any other class at Ennis Show.
4 These rules should be read in conjunction with the ISA rules.

Fancy entering the Wife Carrying Competition at the County Louth Agricultural Show? You must be over 18 and couples taking part must be male/female. You can be married, a couple, best friends it doesn’t matter. The course is ¼ mile long with various obstacles and 5 heats with a maximum of 10 couples in each heat. The winner of each heat will get into the final where they could win a break to the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin. Entry fee per couple is €5 with all proceeds to going to charity. See you there!
