4. Heifers potential mothering ability will be assessed
5. Up to 2 Heifers may qualify at each show if the standard is deemed sufficient
6. Individual exhibitors may qualify up to 2 heifers for the final.
7. All heifers must be haltered trained and lead by a competent adult
8. Animals qualifying for this final are ineligible for entry to other classes at Claremorris Show.

Fancy entering the Wife Carrying Competition at the County Louth Agricultural Show? You must be over 18 and couples taking part must be male/female. You can be married, a couple, best friends it doesn’t matter. The course is ¼ mile long with various obstacles and 5 heats with a maximum of 10 couples in each heat. The winner of each heat will get into the final where they could win a break to the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin. Entry fee per couple is €5 with all proceeds to going to charity. See you there!
